About Animal Farm
Animal Farm is a small, family-owned farm located just outside Åkersberga in Roslagen, only 45 minutes from Stockholm. The farm specializes in organic lamb farming and also runs a cozy countryside boarding house for dogs and cats.
The farm is home to chickens and sheep that produce high-quality eggs, meat, and sheepskins. They also sell lambskins and beautiful handmade crafts created from their own materials.
Meet Karin
“My name is Karin, and I’ve been running Animal Farm since 2000. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals, starting with dogs, cats, and horses. Over time, sheep have become a big part of my life too. I’m a trained dog instructor and have also completed a dog psychologist program.
When sheep and herding dogs (Border Collies) entered my life, I quickly became hooked. The collaboration between handler, dog, and sheep is completely addictive! What started as one Border Collie and five sheep quickly grew into three Border Collies and 80 sheep.
As someone who doesn’t enjoy sitting still for long, this lifestyle is perfect for me—endless walks with the dogs and chasing the occasional escaped sheep keeps me on my toes!”
