Increased Interest in Cannabis Products for Dogs
The demand for cannabis-based products for dogs is on the rise, as more pet owners seek solutions for pain and behavioral issues. According to veterinarian Henrik Rönnberg, “I see an increasing trend in Sweden as well. More and more pet owners are asking for CBD products.”
While it remains illegal for veterinarians to prescribe cannabis to animals in some countries, studies suggest that CBD can positively impact dogs. Henrik Rönnberg, professor of veterinary pharmacology at the Swedish University of Agriculture, explains, “Society’s attitude towards cannabis products has become more liberal, and their availability has increased — including for animals.”
